Home from Maine
I got home from Maine at 2am last night. It was a SUPER long drive. But I didn't mind. I just took it slow and had some iTunes U on. So I was getting my learn on while I was driving. I haven't fully unpacked yet. Today I went down to visit my mom in the hospital. She seems to be doing better. They are treating her infection with antibiotics. I brought her some stuff from home and even setup a little camera in the living room so she can watch her cats run around to and fro. She loves it. So the cat cam was definitely a good idea. I just used my security camera from my place that I used while I was in Maine to peek in on a few times to make sure things were still A-OK. I suppose it's mostly just peace of mind. I mean there isn't much I could really do if things weren't A-OK while I was away... but it's weird just knowing I can peek in and make sure it's all fine just makes me feel better. I figured my mom would feel the same way about her cats. Soooo I set it all up and it is working out well.
Tomorrow is my show for the improv thing. I'm supposed to be there at 1:30 to warm up and such. The show starts at 2:30. I'm just going to drive in and park in a lot or a garage or something like that. I have to get up early and go feed cats. Unfortunately the cat cam doesn't have a robot arm to feed cats the can of catfood. That will be a next step that I'll have to work on. After the show I'm possibly going out for a quick bite to eat with everyone. That will all depend on what the group does though. Then either way I'm going to drive from there to church.
It's back to work on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday - Friday I'm off from work! Woooooo... and guess what I'm going to be doing for 4th of July? I'm staying here. I'm just going to hang out around my apartment and not do a whole lot of anything except try and finish this darn song. That's my plan. I'll probably go to open mic too.
I'm a little sad that the comedy improv thing is going to be over. It's been fun. BUT, I do really like that i'll have my Sunday's back to just stay in and relax. Most especially when I work Saturday. I think for the rest of the summer I'm just going to take it easy and stay in a lot. The last few months have just been SOOOOOOO busy for me that I think I want at least the next 2 months to just be not a lot of anything except for creative related things.
