Nat Geo Photo Contest

So... I found out about this because I saw it in my tweeter feed of this dude and friend I know named John from the camp I do various technical computery things for.

It's a photo contest for National Geographic.  I think it would be fun just to enter and see if I can win! Although it does cost 15 dollars for the fee... which I don't know about all that.  But I might do it anyway.  I mean it would be fun to see what happens!  I figure ok, so, i'm out 15 dollars.  True that would buy 2 bottles of cheap wine, or 1 bottle of a pretty decent wine... but I say what the hay, I've decided to give it a shot anyway!  I have the exact photo in mind that I want to enter and I'll post all the details after I submit and such... so everyone will just have to wait to find out which photo I submit and also wait to find out if I win!  I'll give a hint though...

It's one of the photos from a recent blog post....  That being said... I'm going to also take my other idea from that blog post about raising money from the photos to donate to help...

IF I WIN GRAND PRIZE... I'll donate ALL... of that 10 thousand dollars...

Yep... I'm not even going to keep half... ALL of it will be donated... I'm not even going to keep 15 dollars to pay for my fee...  I know what you are thinking.. whaaaaaaaatt?!??!   But it's 10 thousand dollars!!!!

Yep... 10 thousand dollars that can help buy better fire equipment for the courageous men and women that risk their lives to save others.  Others... like YOU and ME.

So here's to hoping I win!

If anyone knows anyone that has taken a super fantastically cool picture recently ( it needs to have been taken in the last 2 years) and an extra 15 bucks to go along with that... feel free to tell them about the contest!
