Aboot me, eh.

A bit about who I am.

Hello, my name is Kenny West.  I currently live in the just outside of Philadelphia, Pa.  I work at a small liberal arts college in the IT department.  I play guitar, drums, bass, and sing.  I speak a little bit of Spanish and enjoy learning it.  I want to eventually travel to exoctic locations and bring the Kenny West Music Experience to the natives.

[A QUICK BIO]

Kenny West has been writing, recording, and producing his own songs since the year 2000.  He started playing guitar at the age of 13 when a family friend gave him an old hand-me-down guitar.  He quickly learned to play chords, and started to build the chords into songs.  Before long he was also playing songs for friends, family, classmates and fellow campers at summer camp… in other words, basically anyone that would listen.  Just after High School Kenny took an interest in recording, rather than playing songs live.  He recorded friends, and fellow musicians, and also recorded a vast portfolio of his own songs.  Then in the summer of 2008 he was asked on very short notice to play a 30-minute set at a small coffee shop near his home.  He threw together what he could in the little time he had to practice and played for a small but appreciative audience.  Declaring the show a success, he decided to pursue live music more actively.  Since then Kenny has never looked back!  He has a fun live show that will have you laughing and smiling and nodding your head along with every song this Acoustic Pop Rock singer songwriter solo artist sings.

Q and A (Welcome)

Q: What is this?

A: It's the website of Kenny West and his attempt at music/photography/writing/animation/whatever else... mostly it's for his music.

Q: How did it get started?

A: That is a very good question, and I will tell you how it got started.... I don't know.

Q: Well that's cool, but what's it for?

A: Well I am glad you asked.  It basically is only here to keep me from being bored!  I put a disproportionate amount of time into making this site so mostly it's for what many refer to as "the heck of it" and purely my own enjoyment, but feel free to indulge yourself too in the makings of Kenny West.

Q: Awesome!   How do I use it?

A: I'm sorry are you from the past?  I'm not going to explain how a website works.
